Create a Kahoot-Style Quiz (Fuiz)

You probably know Kahoot — that cool quiz game where everyone can play along at the same time? With Fuiz, you can create a quiz like that yourself — free, no ads, and really easy! Perfect for challenging your friends, your family, or your class.

What is Fuiz?

Fuiz is a free alternative to Kahoot. You create quiz questions, and all players answer them at the same time on their phones or tablets. Whoever taps the right answer fastest gets the most points. At the end, there’s a leaderboard — and a winner!

What you need

• A computer or laptop (to create and present the quiz)
• Phones or tablets for the players
• A browser (Chrome, Firefox, Edge)
• Optional: a projector or big screen so everyone can see the questions

Step 1: Sign in to Fuiz

1. Go to fuiz.us
2. Click “Create Quiz”
3. You can sign in with an account or just get started right away

Step 2: Create your quiz

Now it’s time to get creative! Think of a topic for your quiz. For example:

• General knowledge — capitals, animals, records
• School subjects — maths, geography, history
• Hobbies — gaming, sports, movies, music
• Insider knowledge — questions about your class or friend group

Here’s how to create a question:

1. Click “Add Slide”
2. Choose the question type — e.g. “Multiple Choice” (a question with several possible answers)
3. Type in your question, e.g. “Which animal is the fastest in the world?”
4. Enter the answer options:
   • Cheetah (correct!)
   • Eagle
   • Dolphin
   • Horse
5. Mark the correct answer
6. Set how much time players have to answer (e.g. 20 seconds)

Step 3: Make your questions interesting

A few tricks for really good quiz questions:

• Make wrong answers funny — e.g. “How many legs does a spider have?” with “47” as a joke answer
• Add images — a picture is worth a thousand words! Add images to your questions
• Estimation questions — “How tall is the Eiffel Tower?” (330m)
• Surprising facts — questions where the correct answer amazes people

Step 4: Play the quiz!

Once your quiz is ready, it’s time to play:

1. Click “Start” or “Host Quiz”
2. A code appears on screen (e.g. a 6-digit code)
3. Players open fuiz.us on their phone
4. They click “Join Quiz” and enter the code
5. Everyone enters a player name
6. Once everyone’s in, click “Start”!

Step 5: Play and have fun!

Here’s how the game goes:

1. The question appears on the big screen
2. The answer options appear on the players’ phones
3. Everyone taps their answer — the faster, the more points!
4. After each question, the correct answer and the leaderboard are shown
5. In the end, it’s settled: who’s the quiz champion?
