#2 – Level Up! Your Intro for the Award Ceremony

In our 4-day GamesLab course, kids (aged 8–12) use Scratch to develop their own intro video for the GamesLab award ceremony – just like you’d see in real game shows: with a logo, animations, sound effects, music, and a cool opener that builds excitement for the awards.
The kids learn step by step how to animate characters and text in Scratch, build scene transitions, nail timing and transitions, and use sounds effectively. Along the way, they work creatively on story, style, and mood: epic, funny, futuristic, or completely different – as long as it fits the award ceremony.

What can kids expect?
- Scratch basics (blocks, events, animations)
- Designing their own intro scenes (text, logo, characters, effects)
- Using sound & music (optionally your own sounds too)
- Teamwork, feedback rounds, fine-tuning like real game studios
- Final presentation: we show off the finished intros
